I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
